Covid-19 Precautions

Tēnā koutou

As from 29th November patients coming to Grace for a procedure should be double vaccinated. Staff will be checking this in surgeon’s consulting rooms and will need to sight the evidence of vaccination. Patients who are unvaccinated will be individually assessed for urgency of surgery, and may proceed for surgery with additional measures, in consultation with their surgeon and the Grace team.

All visitors coming into Grace Hospital must be double vaccinated, and have evidence to support this, provided to the security personnel at the front door. We are permitting only one visitor per patient, no children.

All patients will be asked screening questions during any interaction with Grace staff, and all patients will be required to undertake a screening Covid-19 PCR test within 72 hours of admission. This will be arranged by Grace Hospital staff. Please advise us if you have any symptoms of Covid-19 or have been in close contact with a positive or suspected case.

All healthcare workers at Grace Hospital are double vaccinated.

We are trying our hardest to keep Grace Covid free and to ensure the safety of patients, consultants and staff. Any queries, please contact me via janetk@gracehospital.co.nz
