ALL patients are required to complete a Rapid Antigen Test on arrival for admission. If you are travelling from outside of Tauranga for surgery at Grace Hospital, it is advised that you perform a Rapid Antigen Test for Covid at home the night before surgery. Please let us know if this test is positive as your surgery will be postponed.  Testing the night before may prevent the inconvenience of testing positive at admission and having your surgery postponed.

If you are a parent of a child having surgery, or you are a carer of a patient and need to assist in care provision overnight you will be required to undergo a Rapid Antigen test at the time of patient admission.

Everyone entering the hospital must be wearing a surgical mask and sanitise their hands before entering any area. Grace Hospital does not allow mask exemptions.

If you have had Covid-19 in the last three months, please advise your surgeon, anaesthetist and Grace Hospital.

Please also advise Grace Hospital (07 577 5270) if:

• you have any symptoms of Covid-19,

• you have been in close contact with a positive or suspected case in the last 10 days,

Thank you for your co-operation. Any queries, please contact me via janetk@gracehospital.co.nz
