Aaron Cook

Aaron is a consultant orthopaedic surgeon at Grace Hospital with experience in hip and knee replacement, arthroscopic sports knee surgery, shoulder rotator cuff and shoulder stabilisation, foot and ankle surgery.

Aaron completed his medical degree at the Auckland University of Medicine and completed his orthopaedic fellowship training in 2004.

He subsequently went on to do a further specialist training, completing a knee and hip replacement fellowship at the Avon Orthopaedic Centre in Bristol. He also completed a specialist foot and ankle fellowship at the Bristol Sports and Orthopaedic Centre.

On returning to New Zealand he completed a surgical sports fellowship at the Adidas Sports Centre in Auckland under the guidance of Barry Tietjens, Stew Walsh and Bruce Twaddle.

He is involved in teaching orthopaedic trainees as well as medical students as a consultant at the Tauranga Public Hospital.

He is a member of the New Zealand Sports and Knee Society, Foot and Ankle Society and the New Zealand Paediatric Orthopaedic Society.

Aaron is also involved with the Tauranga Orthopaedic Research Society.
